The Story ストーリー
I was young, and one day I couldn't figure out what was right and what was wrong.
I knew I had to do something about it, so I set out on a journey to find the "truth".
One day I met a traveler in Okinawa who said to me
"You must have the shield of experience and the weapon of knowledge."
My journey is still continuing.
One day in India, I came across the most beautiful sight.Everything was in perfect balance to form it.
One day I took a picture in Canada.I felt a jolt of pleasure from my index finger, and I decided to keep taking pictures to feel it again.
僕は若かったので、ある時何が正しくて何が悪いのか分からなくなってしまった
どうにかしなくてはと思い”真実”を探すために旅に出た
ある日沖縄で会った旅人はこう言った
「経験という盾と、知識という武器を手に入れなさい」
僕は旅を続けた
ある日インドでとても美しい光景に出会った
全てが完璧なバランスでそれを形成していた
ある日僕はカナダで1枚の写真を撮った
その時に人差し指から快感の電撃が走り、それをもう一度感じたいがために写真を撮り続けることにした
One day I was in the Moroccan desert and I noticed something.
The people of the desert had the same human activities, the only difference was the color of their skin and the language they spoke.
My journey is still continuing.
ある日僕はモロッコの砂漠にいてある事に気づいた。
砂漠の民も同じ人間の営みをしていて、違かったのは肌の色や話す言葉だけだった。
僕は旅を続けた。
One day, on Yakushima Island, I was in the shadow of the moon.
The sky was completely dark and I felt as if there was something behind the thick clouds.
ある日、屋久島で僕は月の影の中にいた。
あたりは真っ暗になり分厚い雲の向こうに何かがあるように感じた。
One day I was in Australia, in the shadow cast by the overlapping sun and moon.
Everything was different from what I had seen and felt before.
ある日僕はオーストラリアで太陽と月が重なった時にできる影の中にいた
何もかもが今まで見てきたもの、感じてきたものと違っていた
I didn't know what it was, but I felt that there was something there that was beyond human comprehension.
よく解らなかったが、人智の達しえない何かがそこには在る、そう感じた。
One day in Indonesia, I went back into the shadows.
The diamond ring was so beautiful.
The truth I am looking for may not be on this planet, but somewhere in the wider universe.
That's what I suddenly thought.
ある日僕はインドネシアでもう一度影の中に入ってみた
ダイヤモンドリングはとても美しかったし、
僕が探している真実はこの惑星には無いかもしれない、もっと広いこの宇宙のどこかに在るのかもしれない。
ふとそう思った
In USA, I went into the shadows.
I didn't find out anything new.
アメリカで、影の中に入ってみた。何も新しいことは解らなかった。
In Chile, I went into the shadows again.
I didn't find out anything new.
チリでも影の中に入ってみた。何も新しいことは解らなかった。
I decided to keep following the total solar eclipse in the hope that one day I might find what I was looking for.
One day I was in the shadows of Antarctica.
I was surrounded by people who were chasing the total solar eclipse, just like me.
いつかきっと僕の探し物が見つかるかもしれないので僕は皆既日食を追い続けることにした。
ある日僕は南極で影の中にいた。
周りには僕と似たように皆既日食を追いかけている人達がいた
One day I was in Argentina, the southernmost city in the world.
I found my one and only truth.
I closed my eyes and remembered the regret of that day and the brightness of that day.
I have a new glow in my eyes.
I think I'll continue my journey for a little while longer.
ある日僕はアルゼンチンにある世界最南端の街にいた
僕は”自分だけの真実”を１つ見つけた
目を閉じて、あの日の後悔とあの日の輝きを思い出す。
僕はまた１つ新しい輝きを手に入れた。
僕はもう少し旅を続けることにしようと思う。
